Alvan Adams
Alvan Adams led the Pirates to the only undefeated state basketball championship in district history. He was named the state player of the year and went on to play at the University of Oklahoma. As a Sooner, he was a 3x 1st-Team All-Big Eight pick as well as an All-American. He was drafted 4th overall by the Phoenix Suns and played all 13 seasons with the same organization. He was the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1975-76 and an NBA All-Star. The Suns retired his jersey to honor his career in Phoenix.
