Leah Tabb Henderson
Not many High School athletes break national records. Leah (Tabb) Henderson did. As a Pirate softball player, she broke the national high school record for home runs in a season when she hit 22 as a Senior. That season, she was the Oklahoman’s City Player of the Year and an All-State selection. She earned All-City mention all four years in high school. Her record-breaking skills weren’t left at Putnam City though. She continued playing at the University of Kansas where she graduated with a school record for career home runs and the record for single season home runs. Leah was a First Team All-Big 12 selection twice and an Academic All-Big 12 selection as well.
