Lauren Shoush Hardy
Putnam City North has had many highly decorated multi-sport athletes. Lauren (Shoush) Hardy is right there with the best of them. She was a star on the basketball court and the soccer pitch. As a basketball player, Lauren was the Oklahoman’s City Player of the Year as a Senior. She had previously been mentioned on the All-City team as a Sophomore & Junior as well. She was twice mentioned on the Oklahoman’s All-State team on the hardwood as well. As a soccer player, Lauren was mentioned twice on the Oklahoman’s All-City team. She took a basketball scholarship to the University of Oklahoma where she lettered all four seasons. She played in the Final Four (vs. Duke) and the National Championship game (vs. UConn) as the Sooners finished runners-up in the 2002 NCAA Tournament. She was also a 3x Academic All-Big 12 selection.
