LaKisha Washington Turner
LaKisha (Washington) Turner was another Pirate named City Player of the Year by the Oklahoman for her performance on the softball diamond. She was also an All-State selection and was named First Team All-City three out of four years in High School (2nd team as a freshman). She went on to play for the University of Oklahoma where she helped the Sooners win their first National Championship in 2000 (alongside Putnam City West Hall of Famer Ashli (Barrett) Wigington). She graduated from OU with a school record for career stolen bases and was an All-Big 12 selection in 1998. She lettered all four years as a Sooner.
