Bob Wilson
Bob Wilson was the head football coach for 22 seasons at Putnam City North. Coach Wilson took over the program in 1992, following the 1991 state championship. That first team was ranked #1 in Oklahoma for much of the year. It wasn’t long (1995) before Wilson had the Panthers back in the state finals. He would play for a title again in 2001. North finished as the runners-up both seasons. In all, Wilson took the Panthers to the playoffs 15 times, advancing to the semi-finals four times and the state finals twice. In 246 games at the helm, Wilson compiled 150 victories and coached many outstanding players including Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford.
