Joe Aska
Joe Aska was a 2-sport speed demon in high school & college. As a Pirate, Joe represented Oklahoma in the Oil Bowl All-Star football game his senior year. He was also a 3x track state champ, winning the 100 his Sophomore & Senior years and the 200 his Senior year. After two years in junior college, Joe emerged at UCO where he was an indoor national champion in the 55 meter dash and an All-American in the outdoor 100. He was also an All-American running back that finished 3rd in the Harlon Hill (D2 Heisman) voting and was the Blue-Gray All-Star game MVP. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders where he played 3 seasons. He also played 1 year in the XFL and 1 year in NFL Europe. He was inducted into the UCO Hall of Fame in 2003.
