Frank Smardo
Frank Smardo is the first swimmer to be inducted into the District Hall of Fame. The 1994 Panther graduate was State Champion, twice, in the 50m freestyle and also won State in the 100m freestyle. He took his Swimming career to Purdue University after high school, where he continued to succeed. He earned NCAA All-American honors in the 1997-98 season. He was also the Big Ten Champion in the 50m freestyle during the 1996-97 season. He graduated with the school record in the 50m freestyle and was a member of two relay teams that also set school records.
